About Me
My name is Joseph Anway. I am a web developer and current student at Collin College in McKinney, Texas.
For many years I have been a passionate designer and artist with an eye for detail while also having a clear vision for the big picture. My chiefest aim is to provide excellent service with quality, efficiency, and a cooperative spirit. In design, my hope is to create web pages that both delight and serve users to the highest order, accounting for any and all needs for function and accessibility. I am a team worker, quick to listen and eager to learn, happy to help and committed to improve.
As a student, my journey has been long, leading me from Collin College to Ouachita Baptist University in Arkansas and back again to Collin. In both places, I have engaged with wonderful professors who shared my passion for teaching and learning by providing a personable, approachable experience. Throughout my career, I hope to do the same with a helpful and cooperative spirit on a mission to provide excellent service whether be it in a classroom or a corporate office. I have earned multiple certifications in web design and development and am currently in process of working for another in full-stack web development from Collin College. My personal passion as an artist is for the interplay between the mind and art, for our engagement with art and technology and how it can help us grow and develop and engage with the world. I am passionate in both design and storytelling, and in both I hope to provide meaningful, uplifting experiences to better communicate and serve my community both personally and professionally.
Outside of my career, the majority of my time is spent in the creation of worldbuilding projects for which I have created various novels, artworks, and webpages where I can develop my own abilities in expression and communcation in storytelling. My interests are highly diverse and range wildly from the strictly academic to the purely creative, from the rigorous to the whimsical. I love reading, writing, designing, illustrating, and the pursuit of academics, especially the sciences (particularly physics and astronomy), learning to make the most of effective communcation with the world around me. And by all these methods, I have been telling stories of my own since as long as I can remember. I am also an avid poet, keeping up a regular dialogue with my mentoring college professor by sending back and forth all sorts of original poetic compositions. But among all of these interests, I thrive on the thrill of discovery, learning new things and hearing about other people's interests and what excites them, especially when it's something I've never heard before.
